BOSSLADY: So I really need you to find this toy for my daughter's present. I mean, I promised and she really wants it.
ME: It's sold out everywhere.
BOSSLADY: Damn.
ME: I can check eBay.
BOSSLADY: Sure.
ME: Or you could just make this a lesson to her that you don't always get what you want in life.
BOSSLADY: Oh, I have many more years to crush her dreams.

Awesome. I find it is always better to crush dreams around the "tweener" years. The crushing damage to the psyche lasts much longer into their overweight, unproductive, shut-in lives.

PS it's so weird getting your comments in real time as opposed to a few months ago when you couldn't check the computer during the day!
